Description
A farmhouse whose history is of ancient origins. In some documents, its presence is traced as early as the end of the 1200`s, when the building functioned as a convent: in fact, a community of Cistercian monks from Marche once stood here, including Fra Bevignate, protagonist of the birth of the Cantiere del Duomo di Orvieto. Surrounded by climbing plants and by woods, Casale San Gregorio releases all its character from the first glance. Literally immersed in the thick forest, it is a true oasis of peace and privacy, where nature generates well-being. The basement of the farmhouse is unfinished: these are large spaces, once used as warehouses, all to be exploited according to one`s needs. The main entrance is located under the porch, where there is also an old wood-burning oven.
