Townhouse on three levels with panoramic roof terrace. The house is situated in the historic center of San Terenziano, which was recently added to the list of "Castelli" and received funding for the preservation of the cityscape. These works have been implemented and enrich the cityscape and its Medieval character very much. But besides that San Terenziano offers a good infrastructure and a good range of shops, restaurants and cultural events. Its central location, a plateau situated exactly between the Tiber Valley and the Valle Umbra, leaves many famous places and sights in Umbria within easy reach.
The restoration of the house was completed in the summer of 2014 and the result is a feast for the eye. Starting with the façade that welcomes the viewer with a very beautiful stone and a travertine bordered window and door. The original, impressive oak beamed ceiling was sandblasted and carefully restored and some wall details and niches were exposed to disclose the origin of the building, dating back to the 13th century. The news floor are of handmade "terracotta" and are in line with the historic building, whereas the bathroom was designed as a modern contrast.
The clever architectural design has been able to lead a lot of light into the rooms and to give rise to a feeling of open space. The day area with kitchen and living room with thermo-fireplace was situated on the attic floor and connected with the roof terrace by a large picture window. The roof terrace offers not only enough space for a table for 6, but also a beautiful panorama over the village rooftops and the picturesque Tiber Valley.
During the renovation the roof has been completely redone, and all windows and doors, wiring, heating and plumbing, plaster, screed and insulation has been replaced.
