A beautiful house built over 100 years ago from golden local stone. The house is very private, but not isolated with spectacular views across the valley towards the nearby village which has a post office, butchers, pharmacy, cafes and supermarket.

The mezzanine leads through to the purpose built artists studio which stretches the full length of the building and has outside access to a private drive. The artists studio is fitted with automatic velux ceiling lights and full length opening windows at either end of the room again providing spectacular views. One end of the studio is arranged with a folding partition wall to provide separate bedroom number 2 with en suite bathroom.
On the lower level are 2 further bedrooms and bathroom number 3 and a separately accessed room currently used as a workshop.
There are further outside storage areas and a stone cabin near the river for storage, leisure use.
The property benefits from mains water and electricity, Solar water heating, log burning stoves and electric storage heaters. Cooking is currently a combined electric and gas cooker.
Access to the property is via a private drive close to a main road with easy access to nearby river beaches, local markets and attractive local towns.The area is well known for scenic beauty and a quiet way of life. Traditional local festivals are still a part of the annual calendar, every village having it's own Saint's day celebrations.
Coimbra, the cultural centre for the area and of great historical beauty and interest is a 35 minute drive away. The nearest beach at Figuera do Foz is about 45 minutes by car and well worth the drive for miles of white beaches and glorious seafood, as is the whole stretch of coast in this region.
