Beschrijving:
Before reaching the Villa you will drive along the northern coast of Baie St, Anne, rising through verdant forestry before descending to, and then traversing, the sand covered beach road at calm reef-protected Anse La Blague, The peaceful hamlet is scattered to the right, whilst on the left the white sand beach and sea of a hundred shades of blue and turquoise draws your eye.
As the beach slips from view you negotiate a couple of sharp turns through the trees before opening the large electric gates, a driveway climbs upwards toward large wind-carved granite outcrops before the view opens up below you to the left. It is difficult not to apply the brake, stop and marvel at how truly beautiful nature can be. Locals believe this is the most desirable property in the best setting on what is a uniquely preserved tropical island paradise. Seven of the Seychelles granitic inner islands sit on the horizon, each clothed in lush vegetation. Above them white clouds are chased by the wind across the bluest of skies where Tropicbirds wheel, streaming their long white tails behind like feather boas. Below and through the palms waves can be seen circling the shallows of Ile Malice before breaking on the shore and tiny beach in front of the Villa. Perhaps the best spot to view nature?s perfection is the new infinity plunge pool.
After parking and descending through the terraced garden you will better appreciate the Plantation House design, its symmetry, broad, dark shiplap boards and thatched roof. On stepping through the doorway you'll be struck by the white walls, polished wooden floors and soaring thirty foot height of the enormous open plan space within. It feels like a gallery and provides the perfect background for well chosen paintings and sculptures of Island Life.
The glazed folding doors in front of you have been thrown wide open framing a sapphire sea and lapis sky. The veranda extends to sixty square metres, enough to provide hammocks, large sofas and a dining area spacious enough to entertain in style. The central steps take you down to an even larger square Sundeck which stands on pillars above the surf some ten metres blow.
A short walk across the lawn and down more steps leads past a shaded, informal BBQ and outside dining space, where you can wiggle your toes in the sand whilst enjoying Creole Cuisine and well chosen imported wines. Further steps nestle beneath a Coconut Palm and pass another hexagonal Sundeck just a few metres above the beach. The water is shallow and warm and plays host to a seemingly infinite variety of fish. Hawksbill Turtles graze amongst the coral and Dolphins break the surface beyond the reef.
