The nearest medium sized food store is only 1-1,5 km drive away in Putnok. The small town also has a brand new indoors swimming pool. Kazincbarcika (15 km drive) has all the major supermarkets and the regional capital town Miskolc is 40 km away from here with its famous thermal cave bath and castle. Both the National Park of Bükk and the National Park of Aggtelek are 25-30 km away from here, which provide recreational opportunities like hiking and caving.
